Tavleen Lall is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of painting, installation, and new media. Rooted in abstraction, her practice explores liminal spaces, spiritual intuition, and the metaphysical through form, light, shadow, and experiential spaces. Her recent material explorations is in glass forms and projection mapping creating an evolving engagement with perception, self-introspection, and the immaterial through medium. Her primary body of work are painting and drawings in her own signature abstract style. The curiosity about our inner life and the myriad events witnessed every second feeds Lall's artistic journey. Lall has adopted a holistic approach in the search-research of art, not limited to a single medium but experiencing the innateness of these forms to the environment that is inside and outside us. An intuitive process from within, where her works are separated from the visible reality yet linked to the source within.
Lall holds a BFA and MFA in Painting from the University of Delhi, India. She is currently based in Toronto, where she is pursuing an Interdisciplinary Master's in Art, Media, and Design at OCAD University. Her current research integrates spiritual metaphor and projection-mapped installation techniques.
